A person calling himself, David Newman called me stating he was from Bank of America and that he approved my modification for my home. He stated that I needed to pay $1149.00 towards my escrow. He called from a Bank of America phone number. He gave me the phone # 646-300-9414 to call him back at and he answered the phone, "Bank of America." I called back Bank of America who did not have any knowledge of this person or what he stated. They told me not to send the money.
