DELL bought laptop through mall kiosk. the laptop has had constant problems since purchase, it shuts down or locks up. wanted to replace but they wanted me to run diagnostic and look for codes. they did not document replacement request and are now tellling me its too late. purchased extended warranty with it. I purchased a laptop from Dell through their mall kiosk. Once I received the laptop it has had constant problems, with either freezing up, rebooting itself or shutting down. I wanted to replace it right away, due to these problems, but the DELL representatives just wanted me to run diagnostic tests and look for codes. i did this numerous times and relayed the information to DELL. The codes showed a hardware and software problem with the laptop. Even though i have done more than i should have the DELL reps that i have been talking to (which is somewhere overseas in the middle east, based on the accents), have told me that i am passed the 30 day mark for requesting a replacement, and there is no documentation in the file that i ever asked for a replacement. i purchased an extended warranty on this laptop, which i was also told does not entitled me to anything more than their customer support. at this point, i am planning on returning the laptop to DELL and demanding a full return on my purchase.
