Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would bet those 200 year old trees were in an easment owned by Dalmarva Power...

As such, anything placed or planted there is subject to whatever action is necessary to protect their lines. YOU do NOT own the property defined as an easement. If theres any doubt, check your property records. Have you lived there for 200 years and planted those trees? You can have a fit and fall in it, but I"m betting they were exercising their right of ownership to protect their lines from damage and outages. How were they "destroyed?" It is most definitely not YOUR private property.
Get over it, you got away with it for "over two hundred years".
