I placed an order to this company online back in 2004. It was backordered for many months. I called to cancel this order after a few months because it was still not in stock to ship & I had found it at another regular vendor in stock & ready to ship. I was told that was fine, they would take care of it. No other information or instructions were given about canceling... I made a point to even ask. After a month of the credit not showing on my statements, I felt it was safe to discard all email info since the order had been cancelled over a month before. I received a package from them over a month later. It was the pants order I had cancelled. When I called to tell them of the problem, they said I would still have to pay shipping both ways & that this would be considered a return. I was not at home to refuse shipping from UPS & they just left it at my door without a signature, so UPS would not do a refuse shipment at that time either. Treva, the manager, said on their site it clearly explains that a 'cancellation #' is required in order not to be responsible for shipping & they had no record of my call. After checking the site, I found this information, but was verbally told that I didn't need to do anything else & it was taken care of. Before talking to Treva, I was told by another employee, that they would refund it all if I just included shipping receipts. It wasn't until I called to confirm UPS wouldn't do a refuse shipment & inquired how to send the package back, that I was told about all the shipping charges. They were not willing to take responsibility for even half of the shipping or admit that their salespeople could have given wrong info, when even in this situation I was being given contradictory information yet again. The shipping was almost $20. My regular vendor agreed to take this identical product back & refund all shipping charges from his order since I had already worn the product he had sent me. Luckily I had a long standing reputation with this reputable vendor! I have never had this problem with any online stores I've ordered from & am an avid shopper. Most will meet you halfway in such situations, especially when it's the only time something like that has occurred with you. That's the only time anything like that has ever happened to me, though. I normally do read terms & policies, but this situation was out of the norm. The manager's attitude was horrible. At one point she almost started yelling & rambled on about consumers taking advantage of her. She appeared to hate her job & dealing with consumers in general & decided to take out her frustration on me! So buyer beware!!! There are lots of great sites out there that have the same products. Steer clear of this one!
