We hired DG Logo Design on 2 May 2012 to produce a custom-made logo for our new company. What really convinced us about DG Logo Design was the fact that they promised to supply "the original art work" behind the logo and "unlimited revisions" to the logo design. This was crucial for us because we were looking for an original design with a possibility to demand revisions until we'd feel the logo is satisfactory. On top of this, the company gave a "100% satisfaction guarantee" and "direct contact with the designer" to close the deal.   

So we paid 80+VAT on a sale (the company had reduced its fees from 140). The work began with a designer called Omari. The initial efforts were okay, but when we asked him for a minor revision, it took him 3 weeks to change the colour combination. It almost felt as if we were being punished for not liking the designs at the first instance. When we asked the company to give us a time scale for the next drafts they simply refused to do so. This despite the fact that prior to placing the order we had make it clear to Jennifer that our webdesigner was ready and patiently waiting for the logo, so that he could start the website as quickly as possible. 

Notwithstanding that we kept faith and hoped the designer would speed up the next time around and produce some credible designs. To help the designer boost his creativity levels, we suggested the logo could have capital letters with a different symbol and colour combinations of blue and orange. We created one ourselves with a basic font of Times New Roman in a word document to give him an idea. After three weeks of waiting, the designer sends us the EXACT SAME logo which we (as amateurs) created with a basic font and one colour combination on a word document. The designer did not fail to fall short of the audacity to ask us whether we liked his design.  

Upon receiving this third revision (and this was few days ago, today is the 28th June 2012), we asked an old friend of ours (a real designer) to have a look at the logo and tell us how much time the DG Logo Design must have spent on this; no more than 2 minutes. Had there been any original art work involved? You guessed it.

At this point we've had not only lost considerable time and patience with DG Logo Design, but also faith in their competence. Naturally we demanded a full refund of 80 + VAT. In response the Managing Director said that no refund would be considered, because their terms and conditions stated that the "100% satisfaction guarantee" only meant they would keep changing the logo until the customer is happy. A refund would never be considered. That came as another surprise. We've now been asking the company to send us the original art work behind the logos, so we can see whether we can claim a refund based on contractual non-performance, but we are being completely ignored by them.   

It is fact that their description of services has been nothing but inaccurate and misleading. 

Consumers and businesses should be made aware that DG Logo Design: 

1. does not produce custom-made logos. They will not be able to send you the original art work.

2. the 100% satisfaction guarantee does not mean a money back guarantee if you're dissatisfied. It merely means that DG Logo Design will keep passing you around between their two designers until you lose your nerves and stop annoying them with revisions. To achieve this purpose they will make sure each revision has 3 weeks between them. No reasonable consumer and business has that much time and they know it.

3. their terms and conditions exclude them from any liability for delays on your project, for a reason: it happens all the time.   

 We sincerely hope other consumers and businesses will be spared the dreadful experience we've had to encouter with this firm.
