On October 16, 2013, a very lovely lady passed away. This was Dianes mother. In her will, she wanted her grandson to be pallbearer. Diane never attempted to contact the grandson and many of her mothers friends. We never had the chance to attend the wake nor funeral. There will never be closure. Upon attempting to contact Diane, she couldn't be bothered to ever call back. Completely ignored. Diane did not honor her own mothers will as her mother had shown us months prior to her death. Her mother made it very clear what she wanted and her daughter Diane Barkstrom was selfish and greedy and did not honor her wishes.

It is unsettling that Diane works for a school and also works with the deaf. If she can be so heartless to her own family, I just do not feel she should be working with special needs persons or children.

Diane has been a shady person for a very long time. She puts on a show to appear perfect but in the background, she is like satan. Even still, we just never expected her to act like this when it came to the death of her mother.

For months, her mother was in and out of medical facilities within NY state. Diane would never tell us where she was locacted and because she was being moved from place to place, it was a nightmare to track down our deceased loved one. Diane refused to contact us and tell us where she was so we could have spent more time with her before her passing.

Learning of her passing days after the wake and funeral from a newspaper was absolutely heartbreaking. Nothing, not even time can heal the damage that Diane has caused many of us.

We love you with all of our hearts Frances J. Halat and may you rest in peace. We are so sorry we could not say our final goodbye because of Diane and see you one last time. I am heartbroken that her grandson could not be a pallbearer as she wanted in her will. Truly heartbreaking and very wrong of Diane Barkstrom.

The only way we know of her death date was through newspapers. Her daughter Diane couldn't even be bothered to have an obituary for her mother that sacrified so much for her since she was a child.

Rest in peace Jean. We all love and will always miss you. May 20, 1934 - October 16, 2013
