*Consumer Suggestion: Report DirectAir Issues to DOT Aviation Dept
I bought two "Family Ties" tickets from Direct Airlines seven months ago. You do not need to list names or dates when purchasing the tickets. Unfortunately, their flights are all sold out, and customer services will not help or even answer their phones. Online booking has said for the last six months that all flights are sold out and customer services will not refund money or give extensions. They have over sold their flights and those of us that are left without seats are out hundreds of dollars.
Direct Air will not return emails or phone calls about this problem. Do not travel with Direct Air. It is an absolute ripoff.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Report DirectAir Issues to DOT Aviation Dept
AUTHOR: birdbaby - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, April 13, 2011
Please report your issues with DirectAir to the DOT Aviation Consumer Complaint Dept, the
Great Rockford Airport Board, the Myrtle Beach Better Business Bureau and your local
state and federal representatives. This airline (or tour service) violates consumer protection
laws and DOT regulations including not listing the way you can report complaints on their web
site. Please take the time to formally lodge a complaint and try to get true reform or
action against this company.
I tried for twelve hours to contact them via phone concerning a ticket matter- phone is the
only avenue they give you to contact
them and could not get through. They do not let you leave a message only tell you the lines
are busy? This is not service. I have read several other similar consumer complaints
concerning the Family Ties program it is clearly a scam as is their entire consumer
response. Please take the time to formally lodge your valid complaint.
