Discountbooksale, Hotbooksale Signed me up for a membership that cost 12.00, unbeknowns to me Internet

I recently purchased a book from discountbooksale.com. I did not know that with this purchase I also agreed to a membership that cost 12.00. If I had not noticed this charge on my bank statement, I would have been charged 12.00 a month.
When I called the company to cancel the membership I was told that I had had 7 days to cancel the membership. Well of course the 7 days had passed by the time I noticed the charge.
Be sure to always read the fine print. I was also charged a foreign charge fee by my bank. I did not know that this company was out of the country
