in December 2011, my husband and I visited the Kmart on East 72nd street/Portland Ave to get Christmas decoration supplies. After our transaction, attached to our receipt was a $200 GiftCard Offer( offer: 04KMRT 4253 RT) with a new 2 year agreement with DISH Network. After much consideration of cable TV costs, we decided to sign a new Cable TV contract with DISH network.

We made our installation appointment for January 28th 2012, mentioned the reasoning for the new agreement( $200 Kmart Giftcard) and thought all was well. My entire family was home when the Install Technician took 2 hours to set up everything. He wasnt very friendly, made a personal call, and even left some equipment in our home--to which he soon returned to collect. While he was at our home, we called the 1-888-301-5339 number on our receipt to find out how and when we would receieve the $200 Kmart card. The agent who answered our call, verified the last 4 digits of the SSN on the account along with the phone number, and before ending the call, he said " oh, we have the gift offer code on file. We'll take care of it for you. The card should arrive within 8-12 weeks."

We hadn't given the card a second thought until 5/3/12 when we called DISH to ask about the card. Christian( #3AS, Advanced Customer Care) said the card would arrive by 5/10/12. A $25.00 VISA gift card came in the mail so we called DISH, KMART, and DISH again on 5/8/12. I myself spoke with C.J. Fonseca( DISH executive offices 303-942-8605 ext 52851). CJ told me the 1-888-301-5339 number is a 3rd party Vendor who handles the gift offer calls, and that it would take up to 3 business days to get back to me. I never recieved a call from CJ so I took it upon myself to contact the Executive offices on 5/24/12. I was connected with an agent named Monica( ID: T7R, phone: 303-942-8605 ext 71595) and she informed me that she would have to pull the call records  and get back to me within 10 days. I did request that Dish either issue the $200 gift card or simply credit our account $200 and Monica said she would let me know within 10 days.

I got a call this morning (5/30/12) from Monica and returned her call within a few hours. She did mention she is not on the phones but would get back to me. My husband and I are frustrated this 'simple' incentive is not being resolved and we are being passed from person to person with all different answers. We would just like an agreeable, reasonable resolution.

help?? sure, accept responsibility and have efficient customer service

Mark, thank you. But I already emailed Daniel Busa my entire story and his reponse was useless and quite unaccommodating. DISH still will not accept responsibility for not regulating the 3rd Party Vendor(Infinity). At this point, DISH is one of the worst companies I have done business with. The past four months I have been dealing with the lack of customer service, technical issues that were not made clear before installation, and constant refusals to simply correct the responsibility error on DISH's end with a resolution. I hope anyone considering DISH, reevaluates the company and their poor customer service frontliners. Thank you again for your attempt.
