Disqus.com is a Ripoff internet company that creates false names and makes up false comments on there blogs to try to sell advertising. They have been using my company brand name to to post comments on there website for months, I'm currently filing a lawsuit again them for using my brand name and creating stories and comments that I did not give them permission to do so.  Beware of this internet company !

Disqus great to work with, new friends

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, July 30, 2017

Rebuttal:

I am a long time user of Disqus (+3 years) and have found it very useful. For one thing, if I need to comment as anonymous, I can post using an alias. Another is that I can turn my comments off so users cannot track me. The kinds of users who group during Disqus at one of my favorite newsites have become a great source for tips and news threads. All of the above serve as an information for me as a blogger and as a reporter. These Disqus friends are now part of an informal network that I turn to rather than use Facebook where my searches, likes, and dislikes are tracked not just by the company but by their contractors.

In contrast, I like to point out that Wordpress is more difficult because the following tends to happen. First, cliques form, and the blogger can make you feel unwanted by flaming you, by ignoring your specific contribution, however meaningful, by inciting trolls against you. Insiders may use secret cues. More worryingly, Wordpress is now permeated by "group trollers." These "group trollers" claim to be one single person. For instance check out jilldennison.com, or mumbletymuse.com, or afterthought2016.wordpress.com or autumnambles.wordpress.com. You will notice a ring of bloggers who seem to be American, but if you examine the details closely there may be more than meets the eye.

Jill, supposedly a mom-blogger, has poured out musings several times per day for the past two years, and each post over 750 words, often 1200 or more words per post at 3-4 per day, meaning 4000-5000 words per day. Mumbletymuse.com also publishes quite a volume for a retired older American woman (though not as much as jhaines6.wordpress.com). And Bushka or Tyrysch (aka Woebegone) job appears to server as mentor and follower commentators. Jill or whoever she is, and her followers all like or know Bushka. Bushka (autumnambles) writes pretty bad poetry, afterall, English is probably not his native language. The end of the first blog, afterthought2016.wordpress.com is very revealing.

Post dated Feb 23, 2017 Öff to the Brethren:

"Many of you will be familiar with my annual visit to the Brethren in the Monastery. I have been associated with them for many years now……."

Bushka can apparently afford to travel around the world, often to meet with family and friends all around the globe. He's a pretty exotic guy, and appropriately seems to have his share of mushy female fans And as for Tyrysch he's very hopeful more people will visit his blog at https://heroicallybadwriters.com/author/tyrysch/

I wouldn't have mentioned this very strange wordpress ring (they are also listed under https://uz.wordpress.com/tag/political-commentary/ and https://grondamorin.com/ another maniacal blogger who produces blog articles at the rate of 4 per day also, and also mostly all political in nature.) Maybe these bloggers really do have a highly motivated impetus for posting 24/7, and they are just not at all concerned about the daily routines which dog the rest of us, like cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and other that stuff, and they are not just content news aggregators run by possibly more than one person.

I do know that my Disqus commentators seem much more normal in the way they comment, the time intervals (days not hours, and skipping a few days or weeks even), and in the style (consistent, and not caring about followers).

So thank you Disqus for allowing us to comment, and having checkpoints available, and an easy sign-in, sign-off routine. And ways to cherry pick commentator friends who are not into weird headgames, because it's really more worth my time to visit news sites with real commentators than blogs with distorted news and a select possibly fictitious membership.
