In Nov of 2008 I ordered a free trial of Acai-aSlim, and of Bromalite. Along with these products, i received a "membership" to "Fit-Fac", or also known as "selfhelpff.com" or "lifstylefit.com". I had checked the fine print, but did not see that the membership to this other company accompanied this. When i received my credit card statement in the mail, i tried to cancel the membership that i didn't know i had ordered.

I received 2 charges 2 times in Dec of 08, (for a total of 4 charges), 2 charges in Jan 09, 2 charges in Feb 09, and then one charge in each month, March, April and May of 2009. I thought i had managed to cancel this in January 2009, i even had a cancelation # (which i was told later didn't apply to the fit-fac charges) I contacted them by email in March, as the telephone number I had for them was never answered, by going to their web site and filling out a form in March, by telephone (found through dilligent internet surfing a different telephone number) in April, by telephone again later in April, and by internet chat in May, when I received a telephone call back.

After each of these contacts, I thought i had cancelled this membership, and had even asked to speak to the supervisor when i called at the end of April, and was told i would receive a call back.

I cannot believe how much this company has put me through, and what I have had to do to cancel this. In all, i received 9 charges on my credit card, at $19.95 each, which to me in Canadian dollars, is $25.00. I realized that I am responsible for the original charges, even though I had read everything I saw on the web site, and saw no reference to this automatic add on to the original purchase. But I feel the next 7 charges were just this company trying to milk my credit card for everything they could.

After much time on the internet chat area, where i was directed to customer service, and then on the telephone with customer service, and then the supervisor of customer service, i finally was told i am being refunded for 5 of these 7 charges. I was continually reminded that they were doing this as a service to me, and that the web site had made it perfectly clear that this charge would accompany my purchase which i disagree. I was most unhappy with the original charges, but furious with the continued charges after repeatedly cancelling this.

Acai Berry Maxx - FITFACTORY.COM - DJM*LIFSTYLEFIT.COM

AUTHOR: Escrowoftheworst - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 12, 2009

This is my latest communication from this group, which shares an actual physical address. I believe we should begin to contact the attorney general office in
New York. They believe the few hundred complaints to be a good thing.

"Now the fact that we only have a under three hundred complaints on online complaint boards, if you do the math that is pretty good. And yes a few hundred complaints though good for the number of customer we have is good it is still a few hundred more than we would like. That is why we locate these complaints and resolve them with our customers, and leave our contact information for any other customers that read the complaint so that they can contact us to resolve their concerns. Just because it is written on the internet does not make it true. As the disclaimer on RipOffReport states.

The Address you requested is: 305 West Broadway #14 NY, NY 10013

Thank you again for the information you have provided to assist us in attempting to resolve your concerns.

Have a good day,

Acai Berry Maxx, Fit Factory, Fitfactory.com, Lifstylefit.com Latest scam

AUTHOR: Escrowoftheworst - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 12, 2009

Janet,

I cannot begin to tell you how much empathy I've had with this company. Even after you cancel and resolve matters with their customer service team, they continually recreate themselves and charge you under a new entity.

What is worse is they post replies saying how much they want to work with you, that it is all a mistake and at the end of the day, the only way you can make them stop charging you is to cancel your account at the bank.

I filed my own Rip Off Report and like you have gone through all of the customer service numbers and even had replies, where they say all the right things, but your money is NEVER refunded.

The latest scam is that the bannk they used to process your transaction is no longer affiliated with them, so therefore if you dispute the charges with your bank, that they will honor your dispute. This excuse comes up when you refuse to provide them again with your full credit card number. Think about that, they charged your card with no authorization and now need your full card number not just the last four digits.

If a law firm ever needs anyone to step up I am available this group is disgusting.

Acai Berry Maxx became Fit Factory which now fraudulently charges as DJM*LIFSTYLEFIT.COM

AUTHOR: Escrowoftheworst - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 12, 2009

Let me beging by sharing that I too have been ripped off by DJM*LIFSTYLEFIT.COM for a charge of $29.95.

I've called the 800-957-6988 and was refused a refund and when filing my own complaint, I had a reply by someone whom claims they handle customer service for www.fitfactory.com at 435-773-1795 or an email address of customerservice@cshelp.org

Now, if you are like me, you have never heard of fit factory or lifstylefit.com, the reason you do not recall them, is they are affilated with www.acaiberrymaxx.com which own website is no longer working as they claim they are no longer taking orders.

What happens is 3-6 months after you cancel doing business with acai berry maxx, the same company has a new entity called Fit Factory and they bill under
DJM*LIFSTYLEFIT.COM.

You never have done business with them, but they will claim that you have. If you give them your name, address and last four of your credit card, they still will not be able to find you, they refuse to issue a refund and ask for your entire credit card number.

This is a fraud and I believe we should come together and find a law firm that will file a class action lawsuit. I will be a party to such an action, let's try and locate the physical address for this group.

Resolution Offer

AUTHOR: Customer Service Administrator - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Janet,

First and foremost I would like to offer an apology for the breakdown in service you have obviously experienced in trying to cancel your membership with our company. If you are at this site, then it is probably because we have failed you somewhere in the customer service process and I would like the opportunity to make it right. Our policy is to never charge anyone who is not interested in receiving our program.

Fit Factory is a companion program that comes with various dietary products that are ordered online. On occasion, if a customer orders multiple supplements, that customer may actually have more than one Fit Factory account. You mentioned in your post that you ordered two different supplements, was billed twice a month for Fit Factory several months in a row, and have tried to cancel several times.

I would personally like to follow up on this and make sure your concerns have been addressed and resolved. Unfortunately, I am unable to locate your account with the minimal amount of information provided in this report. If you come back to read this, and I can be of further assistance, please contact me at 435-773-1795 or you may email me at customerservice@cshelp.org.

Also, if our support staff fails to offer the quality and professionalism that we expect them to provide, I would personally like to know about it so that I can resolve the issue and ensure that it does not continue to happen. I also guarantee to personally see to it that anyone who has had a negative experience with our staff or company is satisfied.

If you are another customer reading this and you have tried customer service and feel that we have failed you, or feel you were mistreated in any way, please call me directly and the number above or the customer service email and I will be happy to address your concerns ASAP.

Once again, my apologies to Janet. Hopefully, I will hear from her soon so that we can get this resolved.

Sincerely,
Online Customer Support
