Domayne Furniture Bundall Gold Coast Domayne Paid $6500 for a Italian leather But SOLD Rubbish Chinese leather Sofa Lounge..SCAM ALERT Gold Coast Nationwide

I purchased the "Anthony" leather lounge from Domayne Bundall on the Gold Coast and was told by the sales person Corinne when I purchased the couch that the leather on the couch was itlaian but was assembled in China to reduce costs.. and as good as you could buy.  She told me that the couch was so well made that it would last 20 years plus if it was looked after.  Well within 12 months the leather started to deteriorate, it was my first leather lounge so I did not know excactly what to expect.  We maintained the couch with leather condfitioner regularly but no matter what we did it got worse as you will see by the photos, the leather started 'peeling' away.  It wasnt until we had multiple leather restorers look at the couch that they told us that it was not 'real leather' and instead a cheap chinese alternative.  By this time the 12 month leather warranty issued by Domayne has expired and when confronted about the issue Domayne bundall referred us to the warranty and explained that it is out of warranty and not their problem.  

I have bought a similiar leather lounge from a different company for another property and paid $2000 brand new and was told that the top half where you touch and sit is italian high quality leather and the undersides were a cheaper leather material to keep the costs down.  I have had this couch for 5 years now and it is absolutley perfect, could be sold as new again wheras my absolute pile of chinese garbage purchased from domayne for over 3 times the price hasnt lasted 5 mintues in comparison.  

Also it should be noted that the Domayne "anothony" frame on the chaise is caving in also.  Please save you money and do not pay top dollar for overpriced chinese leather couches from domayne.  Domayne leather couches are not what they say they are and should not even be allowed to sell in Australia.
