  We had a very negative experience using Dan Groff!  He gave us the wrong representation on many questions we had concerning mortgage loans. There was no shortage of vague and obscure clauses in contracts, small prints, and intentionally complicated terms to understand. A lot of the fine print on his contracts was redacted information.

We made it it clear to Mr. Groff that we were very dissatisfied with the misinformation provided by his company. Yet he continued to do NOTHING to fix the situation. We felt--as a Mortgage Loan Broker he was being forced to meet a sales quota, which made him resort to practices that were not to our advantage.

We learned later that misleading customers is becoming a way for loan brokers to increase their earnings, focusing more on persuasion and dissuasion rather than actually thinking about what the customers need. This was truly the case with Mr. Groff. We later learned that Mr. Groff has been involved in shady marketing practices and numerous scandals. Mr. Groff seemed to us to have a "chip on his shoulder" and was constantly lecturing us on "morality" which in fact his business practices never reflected!
