*General Comment: Typical Walmart
*Consumer Comment: When it comes to tires...
I have a 1995 Toyota Camry bought from Walmart a set of Douglas tires they are junk walmart has replaced 3 of them in 20,000 miles and balanced them several times and the car still rides rough, I also on a 1997 venture van that has douglas tires on it. The owner before me bought them so i have no warranty. The tires are akk having belt seperation issues with only 15,000 miles. In my opinion Walmart needs to stop selling Douglas tires they are junk.
i will never buy them again or will I buy tires at Walmart again.
Cheap prices maybe at Walmart but your life is on the line with the tires on your vehicle.

Typical Walmart

Old Sam would be rolling in his grave if he saw what his greedy kids have done to that business. When Walmart first started out they prided themselves on carrying MADE IN THE USA items. The quality was always high. Now you would be lucky to find 3 items that are made in the usa. Walmart has become the 3rd largest importer of Chinese goods behind Great Britain and the US. Walmart has made a name for themselves as squeezing manufacturers to ensure that they get the lowest price possible and the highest profit. (These savings are not passed on to the customer) Douglas Tire was at one time, a decent tire. In order to keep their product on WalMart shelves they have lowered their quality (as WALMART demanded) in order to supply the amounts WalMart wants. Unfortunately Douglas Tire is not the only company that has lowered its quality in order to keep their products on WalMart shelves. All of the products are of low quality (hence the MADE IN CHINA and MADE IN MEXICO branding). Sam wanted his company to carry high quality AMERICAN MADE items at a reasonable price. His kids have turned it into low quality imports and a high price. This is why his kids are ALWAYS in the top 10 richest people in the USA.

That old saying that "you get what you pay for" really is true. Buying the cheapest tires doesn't make sense in the long run.
I had a similar experience with a different cheapo brand. I bought 'em because I didn't think I'd be keeping my truck for very much longer. I ended up keeping the truck and after about 25K miles those tires were making the truck drive like the front suspension was about to fall out. Replaced with quality tires and all the problems went away.
