This doctor seems nice but seems to need more heart for animal and their owner. I notice she assumes what the problem might be than doing her job properly and be certain in giving the best treatment. When you call to speak with this doctor to consult with her on things concerning your pet, she'll have someone else call. I have dealt with several vets and each one would return my call except for this doctor. I don't recommend her at all.

I blame no one but....

Just pointing how she conducted business. Again she being a vet (doctor) I trusted and paid her to perform her medical skills giving my cat adequate examination. I believe every pet owner expects a vet to do. Blaming myself a hurtful lesson learned >> for sure.
Thank you all for rebuttals, appreciate the feed backs. Take care all.

Faith, this situation does not appear to have been caused by the vet. I understand your sad and hurt. I really do. Anger is a part of grief, and we usually look for someone to blame, whether we're right or wrong. More and more of your thought process keeps coming out, and that's not a bad thing. But, you had already talked to the vet about this situation. Nothing more could be done because your cat had been put down elsewhere, and a necropsy could not be done, and the diagnostics previously reccomended could not be done. They are not magicians. As clinics are busy, the vets reguarly have someone else call back and speak to customers (usually when the call concerns a medical condition or a question already known to the vet). The vet did her job within the realms possible and given to her. To see if it was an abcess first was the most logical step, not to mention the least invasive, and the one you could afford. Abcesses are common in cats, and having 15 of them, you are probably aware of that. She was not wrong for checking to see if it was an abcess first. See you on the other reports. *just my opinions*
