I went into drive time in December 2015 to purchase a Nissan Sentra I traded in my 2001 Nissan Xterra and gave them $200 cash on top of that to purchase a car. In the loan included was the 1500 mile warranty also the gap warranty also the powertrain warranty these amounts were added to my loan. In about four days after I have the car I noticed first off all of the tires were different and the car was pulling to the left and making horrible noises in the tire area. I call Drive time to explain to them what was going on and they told me to call avericks which is Who deal with the warranties. they told me to take the car to Meinicke. I took the car to Meinicke they said three of the tires depths were not good and they needed to be changed and that they would try to talk to the warranty people about it because it was dangerous. to no avail they would not fix that issue. also I was told the car needed new rotors. they could not be turned because they had already been turned and they needed to be replaced. I was also told that they needed new brakes and they would have to be the ceramic kind. I had to keep waiting for these people to call me back so that I could go back to Meinicke and get the work done out. this took several days.
Upon returning to Meinicke I was under the impression that they were going to fix the brakes with a new one and put new rotors as the mechanic had said it needed. I did not notice much different when driving except it was making worst noise now sounding like a cat screaming inside of my wheels, the car still pulling to the left when I barely could drive 60 Miles per hour. I noticed there were a lot of recalls on this particular vehicle but drivetime did not want to make it right. I actually drive down there to speak to someone to see if they would make this right because the warranty for the 1500 miles was going to be up soon. but they kept putting me off. I Musta called up there at least 15 different times and gave them plenty of chances to fix his car right. I felt it was very dangerous to be driving with a car that is pulling very hard to the left and the brakes and rotors were not correct and right and I was not going to put my life on the line or my grandchildren's life on the line when I Barely even drove the car 2500 miles since I Took it off the lot of drive time.
each time I call they were rude to me. said there were not going to fix it so I voluntarily gave the car back yesterday. on May 5, 2016 I get a phone call from BRIDGECREST / Drive Time. The lady was pretty rude to me and said she wanted to know what could she do to make things right. I told her they had plenty of chances and it was too late. I did not want the car back. she told me they were going to take the car to auction and if it's sold that she would send me a letter telling me what the remainder was going to be that I would have to pay. I told her I'm not paying a red penny! I reminded her that I gave them $200 cash plus the trade-in of my 2001 Nissan Xterra and I made at least seven arete payments on the car and I was not giving them a penny. they put my life in danger. they did not care. they did not fix the car properly as they said they would do and the mechanic at Meinicke said that they denied and refused to change the rotors to new ones or to change the brakes to new ones. the mechanic said he was told to just resurfaced them so that the car would be drivable.
I am filling out this rip off report because I do not appreciate the way that I was treated as if my life did not matter and I did not appreciate how rude they were to me on the phone nor how they let it go so long so that they knew that my warranty would run out before they actually fix the issues right. I hope that somebody shuts this place down!!

Wow...you have totally screwed yourself over.
What you have done is a voluntary Reposession, but it is still a reposession. The dealer was right, they will take the car to auction and what ever balance remains on the loan you are still legally responsible for. It doesn't matter how much you paid, how much of a downpayment you made, or what vehicle you traded in. All those things do is reduce the amount you still owe them.
If you fail to pay then can start collection efforts, which include things such as negative credit reporting and could result in them filing a civil suit and possible ending in wage garnishment or attaching of your bank accounts.
Now, I can hear you now stating things such as "It won't happen", "They scammed me", "I will prevail", "The courts will see it my way", and the ever popular "I will shut these people down with my own two hands and go to every media outlet and up to the supreme court if I have to".
The fact is that the only thing that matters is what is in the written agreement you signed. You described issues that are all considered "Wear and Tear" items that are generally not covered under any sort of warranty. Now, if you have something in writing that specifically states that tires, roters, or brakes are covered..then you may have a valid complaint. But I have a feeling that you have no such document.
But even with that everything you described(tires, pulling) are all things that should have been very obvious to you BEFORE You purchased the car and that is the time you should have made sure that those things were handled. But apparently you didn't.
As for the recalls, they are not responsible for recalls. If your car has open recalls, you need to take it to the dealer and have them handle it at no cost to you.
