I would strongly suggest to anyone desperate enough to want to purchase a vehicle from Drivenow Trucks to take their own mechanic and don't pay one red cent until the last minute. (after all paperwork and other hoops have been jumped through) Don't think that you will leave with the vehicle the same day it will take two to three days "if" you follow through the protocol and complete everything by 5pm. They want a certain amount down before you leave there and non refundable is stamped in big red letters. So if you later decide that you don't want the vehicle for whatever reason----too bad!!  You have to wait on their time and procedures to get the key to your vehicle. Even after you've given them the full down payment they won't leave you alone with your truck in case you find something that they know very well is wrong with the truck  and want it repaired. The trucks are by far overpriced and please believe that they will not put any money that they can avoid putting into the truck.

My personal complaint is that they want far too much for this truck to not address every issue yet the inspection was passed. A twin bed mattress was thrown in my truck to pacify me because I complained that there was only one mattress. The truck was not test driven as far as they claimed that it would have been because the mileage did not reflect it. And the windshield wiper switch was disconnected because it would not cut off otherwise. When I called to inquire about it I was at first ignored, but I made it a point to call constantly day after day until I spoke with Mike Griggs. All he did was make excuses and pretty much told me to get it fixed myself. So obviously they don't care about repeat business, and mine they certainly won't get. The company that hired me didn't complete the insurance process by 5pm on Friday, but did first thing Monday morning and it made me have to wait another entire day to pick up my truck. In short, when they say that they are doing all these inspections they're simply making sure that they install a gps chip to find the vehicle if you don't pay. The whole process is very tiring and aggravating.

Repair after repair after repair

AUTHOR: Wanda - ()

POSTED: Friday, June 20, 2014

By Mr. Griggs' response one can already see what they would have to deal with. "A smart a*s!" I am just now getting back to this because I have been trying to keep the truck moving to make enough to make the payment and live off of. As previously stated: THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL, THAT A PROPER INSPECTION WAS DONE TO THIS TRUCK. Yes, because my credit suffered due to the past recession that we were in I was desperate enough to shop at Drivenow, next time I'll know better and that is why I did not get my 2nd truck from them. There are too many things wrong with this truck that they had to have been aware of and chose not to repair, but patched up enough to sell. Test drive: Duncan will only allow you to test drive a few blocks down the road,

they don't even leave it running long enough to get hot and that's when you really see the problems. Other problems aren't visible until you hook up a trailer to it. If you use the warranty you have to pay $500 PER issue, I did not know that NOR did I expect this many things to go wrong at once. No one has the time to read all of the fine print etc... when making a vehicle purchase and salesmen know that. They always explain everything to you and you don't have enough time to properly digest it all. Long story short, take a mechanic and ensure that you take plenty of pix. Then take it for an additional inspection as soon as you leave with it so you can sue whomever they paid off to write up that bogus inspection. The end........

“They want a certain amount down before you leave there and non refundable is stamped in big red letters.”

Many businesses have a Final Sale policy. If you don’t like the policy, shop somewhere else.

“The trucks are by far overpriced”

If you are not satisfied with the cost, shop somewhere else.

“The truck was not test driven as far as they claimed that it would have been because the mileage did not reflect it.”

Take the truck out for your own test-drive.

“All he did was make excuses and pretty much told me to get it fixed myself.”

What are the terms of the written warranty?

“they install a gps chip to find the vehicle if you don't pay”

That is a reflection of your credit history.

It is unclear as to why you posted a Ripoff Report.
