Don't pay - deal with them in writing

AUTHOR: Tagurit - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, September 23, 2012

Do not pay them and do not rely on phone conversations when dealing with these people - they will lie.  Do everything in writing certified return receipt so you have proof.  Write to them and tell them since the debt is past the statute of limitations and because they have provided no proof of the debt that they are to cease contacting you or anyone in your family and that if they report it to the credit bureau you will sue.
