I deposited this check and verified with the bank it was cleared 5 days later. I've written checks etc. Today the check bounced. I have to go to the bank tomorrow and rectify the overdraft, fees, and bounced items. How can the bank tell me it took 10 days for this check to bounce, when my own checks clear within a day?

I have a rather silly, stupid question for you... Did you REALLY expect that the $2900.00 check fell into your hands from Heaven above? Were you supposed to send them back a portion of the money?? WHY are Americans so d**n gullible? It is not the bank's fault that you have NO common sense whatsoever, I don't care how much education you claim to have. By the way, Do Not respond to advertisements you see or hear on TV or Radio, because you will NOT be happy when they rip off your credit card or checking account, no matter what they promise. There is NO such thing as an honest online contest, lottery or "giveaway". It is not surprising that the economy of America is going to hell in a hand-basket.
