Easy Homes 123 - Steve S Mitchell - Lynn Browning Scammed out of a large downpayment, No homes, dreams of home ownership shattered. Lakeland Florida

I lost my parents in 2006. I moved down to Florida to escape an abusive ex husband and wanted a better life for my two children. My folks lived in Lakeland and said it would be a great place to start over. I moved in with them for the first 6 months I lived here. Within that timeframe my mother was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, my Dad was very sick with Crohn's disease. I cared for both of them until they passed late in 2005 and 2006. I settled their estates. With my inheritance I decided that I would like to better our living situation. We lived in a townhouse, not in the best part of Lakeland.

I was looking for a better neighborhood and was looking at a mobile home, when low and behold I met up with a "Christian Man" named Steve Mitchell of Easy Homes 123, LLC. He gave me the keys to a new home I could look at. I really trusted hime and mostly because he said he was a Christian. I looked at the Home, it was a new one and he said if I gave him a large downpayment and made my payments on time, etc. the home would be mine. I asked him if I did not get financed would I get my downpayment back, and do you know that in front of my 19year old son, he said of course i would.

Well, needless to say, I went to the bank and got a cashier's check for the large down payment, we are talking in the twenty thousand range,(well, he said he was a Christian, wore it like a banner) I gave this downpayment to the Holy Roller, Mr. Mitchell and guess what, I got the keys to the home. That's about the last time we saw him.

We lived there one month and he raised the lease payment from 895 to 972, something about increased property taxes. I was livid, but I was dealing with a Christian.

We had our home robbed a year and a half later, oh yes, Mr. Christian raised to payment to $1,155. Isn't that nice. We had our home robbed two months before our contract with Mr. "Chrsitian: ended. The officer told me that someone who knew the layout of the home probably did it. I think that Mr. Christian didn't want to give me my down payment back and stole my safe looking for the original contract. Ya know, it wasn't in the safe, my parent's wedding band was in their and my whole identity too. My fiance wants Mr. Christian behind bars for Grand theft. I said, no way, Mr. Christian would never do that and he said that he doesn't want to give me a home or my down payment back because I am a single mother and he has a history of domestic violence. I did a lot of homework on Mr. Christian. Some former business associates say I was frauded. I now agree, Mr. Christian was Mr. Satan, in for a quick buck. I did not get financed, out my home and money
