Editor & Chief Review - Posing as a woman trying to better her life, selling magazine subscriptions door-to-door Naples Florida

An enthusiastic young woman came to our door, selling magazine subscriptions to raise money to better her life and that of her young daughter.
She had lots to say about her life, and asked questions of us to learn about our family.

Showing us the list of magazines, she encouraged us to buy for ourselves, or to purchase magazines to be donated to any charity we chose.

She assured us the magazine could be sent to anyone we wished, including the Long Beach Rescue Mission, which we asked about supporting.

She had an official looking badge, nicely printed receipts. We were naive not to check out the company before writing a check. As it is, I'm sure the rescue mission won't be receiving any magazines, and we are out the $51.00

Lesson learned: Kindly ask the seller to wait a moment while I check out the company on my computer. I don't think she would have stuck around.
