elance I am the Contractor -- hiring freelancers --- came to find out that as contractors --- we have no control over working hours, even though you have the parameters set. If you terminate contract you have to get permition from the free lancer to cancel the job. If you want to lower allowed hours, you need to get permission from free lancer. NO CONTROL AT ALL...... the only ones that make money are Elance for fees,and free lancers with full control. california california

Elance company gives no control to the Contractor, all power lies with free lancers and elance.  They allow their free lancers to abuse.   If you want to cancel your job with a current free lancer, you need to get permission from free lancer.   If you want to lower hours, you need to get permission from free lancer.   No control at all.... even if free lancer is clearly abusing system.

Terrible, i won't use them again.  they only make their fees, charge your account and their answer always is "the dispute team will be making a decision"  it is always in the free lancer favor --- that way they collect fees.
