I purchased my "pick of the litter" "elite" puppy in February 2017 for $3800. Sales contract specifies pedigree with parents having "V" titles and "a" stamped hips, meaning they have passed many standards for the breed. When I became suspicious of the quality of my "elite" dog as she got diagnosed with cancer (sarcoma) in January 2019, the breeder Cindy Hiemenz of Elite German Shepherds was unable to provide any of the requested documents proving her pedigree with the certifications listed on the sales contract. Sent a formal demand letter requesting documents and have been ignored for 60+ days. My belief is the breeder is lying and claiming titles and health certifications that do not exist. By making these claims, she is charging top dollar, ripping off ignorant or trusting consumers. A board member of the AKC GSD club also cannot find any proof of my dog's pedigree's titles. Do your research. Search "Von Fenwald" as her business is Von Fenwald's Elite German Shepherds. There is a clear pattern of these actions. Be very educated before you buy a puppy!
