Emachines-Gateway-Bestbuy Rebate scam and ripoff does not honor rebate Minneapolis Minnesota

This is in support of Tony from Philadelphia's posting on 6/29/05.

This same thing happened to me. Unlike Tony though I did not make a copy of the rebate forms (my bad). I did recall that of the 5 rebates that came with the computer only one needed a postmark date 30 days from the date of purchase. I know it was only one because I did end up a couple of days past 30, and realized OK at least I have 4 of them. Of the remaing ones I think the date was 6/7/05.

The thing is, the problem isn't emachines, but BestBuy. They printed out the rebate form.

I figured I could go get the rebate form printed again from BestBuy. I just got back as a matter of fact. Conveniently the form now has a postmark date of 30 days after purchase.So I'm S.O.L.

Tony, You should go back to BestBuy and make a stink there. You have copies of the form.
