I purchased a list of professionals for marketing purposes. I immediatley noticed upon receipt of the list that about 5,000 records were outisde of the parameters I had specified. However, the $14,000+ I paid to email appenders would be justified if the remaining records fit my criteria and were deliverable.

I sent 100,000 emails over the weekend to this list. By mid-day on Monday:

1. My email server was jammed with undeliverable messages--hard bounces
2. The hard bounces continued to arrive faster than I could download them. Once the number reached 85,000 bounces, I had to delete the email box just to get the server going
3. My email sending company fired me because of the spam I had sent

I asked emailappenders for a refund. A full refund would not compensate me for the damage that had been done. They provided excuses. They tried to offer services in exchange but would you trust them?

I explained that a full refund was the only remedy as there was no trust to do any further business. I advise you not to trust this company or any of their representations. They appears to be nice people--but my experience tells me they are cheats.

Bob,

You haven't even mentioned your company name -so I presume you are not really certain of the reason for the bounces and don't want to be Sued for misrepresentation.

We stand by our product and assure you services to your satifaction. We are the only vendor in the industry that provides verification details of each particular contact address to ensure minimal bounces.

The nature of the Email beast is no matter how effectively you do it,some bounces are inevitable. As you might know, Success of a Campaign also depends on the servers you are using. I am presuming you are the one that used spam blocked servers along with Larry Klein (Larry-Klein@comcast.net) and thus got huge bounces.

We actually verified the list in question with Larry, prior to delivery and I believe the primary reason for the problem you are having is because of Larry Klein's servers. The Servers Larry used could be Spam Blocked and causing huge bounces or Listed in RBL, SBL etc.

Here's the campaign report we got from sending emails to the addresses you got from our eCampaign server and I hope this addresses the deliverability issues.

Delivery Confirmed/ Delivered : 78579 - deliverables
Soft Bounce : 34320 - possible 50% deliverables in these soft bounces
Hard Bounce : 12442 - bounced

We had over 68% delivered and another 18% soft bounces of which half could be possible deliverables. Considering the extra records given the hard bounces will be negligible after you remove the extra record count.

I have got approval to address credit for the Hard Bounces and Records not in line. We did an additional Free Campaign from our end to your target market of insurance agent and have a proven solution to get you atleast 5% response rate over a year with our eCampaign solution. This is the best we can do given that you already have the list of which over 80% is deliverable (very close to the Guarantee we made). There are hardly any vendors who can guarantee this and who even venture to stand by their email product which we do as we are confident in our verification process.

We have a total of 112,602 contacts in this list that meet your criteria after our verification. Rest can be credited considering the extra records we provided.

Please let us know if you wish to get 5% response from any list over a year sending couple of thousand contacts every day versus 100K in one go. With this proven methodology and Daily eCampaign process, we have achieved these results for hundreds of clients.

We should talk and sort this out if you can get started on thinking about What it means to you if you can get 5000 leads of these 100K file (approx 400 leads a month). Agreed there could be some bounces with any email campaign, but what about these leads?
