I purchased a list from emailzipcode llc of 4,000 names and email adress. I uploaded it to constant contact and was flagged with the list right away. Upon their review of the list they found 40% of the address I purchased where either wrong or on accounts that had been cancelled for years. If I where to use the list with so many problems most likely my emails and web adress would be black listed as SPAM.

When I contacted the company they stated they do not offfer any refunds that I should find another way to get the list on there. Basically go around the email service who is trying to protect me and sneak the list in.

Basically they are selling junk email address, it was an $85 learning lesson for me, hope others know to say away from these crooks.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

I too used emailzipcode and was unsatisfied

AUTHOR: Andrew - (Canada)

POSTED: Friday, July 31, 2009

I too used emailzipcode services and was unsatisfied. I contacted them in Novemeber 2008 and paid $3,200 for two send outs to student age specific recipients.

I was told that this was the data base I was purchasing. When the bounce back spam rejects began to appear in my inbox I noticed a similiar disturbing pattern. The emails were clearly not to students but to mainly adults. I naturally complained and was given an extra 100k "blast" to the same useless email addresses that I did not want in the first place.

There is a counter on my website which is where the respondents were indicated to go and over the period of time in question the counter moved a maximum of plus 23. That's it a .0000023 ratio. Way to go emailzipcode.com.

The problem with companies with a strict no-refund policy is that consumers have no real recourse. My advice is that they should only be used at your own peril or if you have money to throw away. I should have pondered these facts before agreeing to send them my hard earned $3,200. Lesson learned.

I hope consumers out there will avoid all companies that have a strict no-refund policy, including emailzipcode.com.

EMAILZIPCODES.COM IS A GOOD COMPANY TO WORK WITH

After speaking with the owner he clearly explained his side of the story which did have some valid points to it. He listened to what I had to say and was nice enough to offer a full refund for their services. Me being a novice in the world of email marketing have a lot to learn on how to do things, it is a whole nother world and it is easy to get confused on how it works.

So please note it turns out they are a reputable email service and I reccomend using them for your email marketing needs. And if I can ever figure out how to do efffective email marketing I would for sure use their services again.

Sorry for any confussion on my first posting.
