My story is as all others who fell for this scam. My husband and I are not stupid people but we got scammed anyway. They do make it look and sound legit. I sent the money ending 6-11-08. I checked the internet for scam reports on them before sending any money. On 6-11-08 I could not find any reports on them, and I am a Computer Tech!
I am pregnant with twins and was taken off work and put on bedrest 10 weeks earlier than my husband and I had planned. We had savings, but not enough to cover the additional 10 weeks off. We used the a large portion of the savings to "Secure the loan". To the tune of over $1820.00. We sent the requested money in 2 $910.00 payments when they told us the the lender Judith Byerly in Alberta Canada had backed out of the loan. I then requested a refund.
We are due to get our refund tomorrow, but I know now we will never see it. I hope anyone else trying to get a loan from the scam artists looks on the internet first. Thank goodness for this website. It was too early in the game for me, but I hope it can stop others from getting ripped off.
