The name of the product I bought is NOD32 an anti-virus program. I used NOD32 as my search argument in Google and selected the first website in the list returned. I went through the registration process and paid for the product for a period of 1 year. I noticed that it was to be expired in 3 weeks. All attempts to contact the company failed. Support would not believe me. It has since expired.

It is not uncommon for scammers to sell fraudulent software licenses through ads on search engines, just like they do in spam sent by email.
It should be pretty easy for you to find out whether or not you bought a legal valid license, all you need to do is call ESET toll-free during business hours (they are in San Diego, just down the coast from you) at +1 (866) 343-3738 and ask to speak to a customer support representative, sales agent or someone similar.
If you did get a license, it should be trivial for them to look up and resend your credentials. If you got scammed, you may still be able to get the charges reversed on your credit card.
