This person is selling bogus face masks, claiming they're effective against the Corona Virus. These are very cheaply made, crocheted masks. They have absolutely no ability to filter anything. They're merely a piece of cloth, cheap cloth.
This person advertises them on Twitter as face masks for protection against disease as well as on the Etsy website. This will be forwarded to the Attorney General of California, as scams like this are punishable by law. https://www.etsy.com/listing/777387508/crocheted-face-masks-breathing-masks?ref=shop_home_active_1&crt=1

As of today, Etsy has removed the the fake mask. They worked quickly to remove an item that had no use as a medical product. However, it is still trying to sell them on Twitter. It's telling it's followers to just order them straight from it. The faulty, known not to work, masks. It has been targeting the blacks as customer.
It must know that The White People, (going by accounts, profile pics, etc.) aren't going to fall for this scam. The White People who have so far encountered the faulty product have basically laughed it off. However, the blacks that it has been communicating with, are still buying them.
It's not known if this is its strategy, taking advantage of poor blacks, or if it's just who seems to be buying them. In summary, it's not known if this is a racial strategy by it. Etsy has clearly distanced themselves from the product.
