They took $30.00 out of my bank account. Did not know who this was because the check # was not one of my range of checks. So I was given a # to call by my bank 888-897-8045. I called and they asked me for personal info. like my phone # and I said I am not giving you my # I will give you my name and he finally took it and said I don't have anything. So I decided to give my home phone # because it is a public #. Then he asked me for my address I gave it to him but should have asked him what did he have on me as far as contact info. Then he goes on to tell me that I was a member of debt to wealth and I told him no I wasn't. He then says well you can take advantage of their great offers. I said to him, "sir you arenot listening! I don't want it and stop taking money from my account, I did not authorize this" He said that they work for debt to wealth. I said how can I reach them, he said he did know. I said how long have I "so called" been a member. He didn't know! The sad part is my bank can not stop future drafts because they are using checks.....It's a bunch of bull!! It's scary too... The thing to do now is run a report to see how long this is been going on and watch my account to see if it happens again. Will be doing a stop payment on the check #. I am going to contact my local news and sound off to warn others!!!

Easy solution! Stop giving out your bank account info!!

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

This scam is related to you giving out your bank account information online and/or over the phone. NEVER DO THIS!!

NEVER give out your bank account info in any form to anyone that you do not know personally or have an existing favorable relationship with.

This particular scam is linked to payday loan operations. When was the last time you applied for a "payday loan", or similar?

Do not ever give out your checking account # or even your debit card# online. NEVER DO THIS!!!

The only option you have now is to close out that bank account as I don't think you have the financial knowledge or stamina to fight your bank for a refund under Federal Regulation E provisions, under US Banking Laws.

Always use a CREDIT CARD for any online or phone transactions. If you don't have a credit card, GET ONE, If you can't get one, just don't do online or phone transactions until you can! It's real simple.
