I was a customer of Farrell Hair Replacement for over 8 years, I found out today they are gone!! Ok, not completly. For those customers in the northeast that are willing to be at Farrell's "becking call", they may be in NYC area 3 to 4 days every month or other month. TBD, based on Farrell's convienence and availability.

I was very rudly informed of this by Richard's wife today as I was attempeding to schedule an appointment. Much to my displeasure, I was also informed that I should now purchase another system (which cost $2500.00) so that Farrell may properly serve my needs.

I have owned only 1 system at a time since starting down this road 8 years ago. But now, because Farrell is virtually closing their office in NYC I should continue to buy additional systems from them 2 at a time.

Anyone else see issues with this??

I won't lie, other then one front piece falling apart 1 month after getting my most recent system. I have always appreciated their quality. Even when DD (1 of many stylist traveling thru Farrell's revolving door) attampted to sell me another brand of system for $500. I said no..

But like all postings here customer service is Aweful!!! They lie.. They lie.. They Lie.. Right to your face, they lie. They will say anything to get you to spend more money... Buy that, buy this, you need more systems buy more!!! Even when going out of business, they say "Well, buy another system, ship your second to Ca. to be service?". I live in NY, why would I ship my system at my cost to you in California? (I asked that very question?). Response: "so we can serve you.". They are crazy and I will not give them 1 more cent of business.

This is only my opnion:

Richard was a great guy, with a great product 8 years ago. But the more I saw his wife in the salon the more down hill it went.. needless to say she is always there now, therefor they are at the absolue bottom of the barrell now.

Anyone thinking of using them, please ask them how many salons have they closed in the last 2 years.. Answer, to many to count..

Don't become a customer to a company, that has absolutly NO Customer Service or Customer appreciation.

Abandon NYC Farrrel Hair customers, you do have options

By all means this is not an advertisement. After being stranded in NY without any idea what to do, I turned to the internet and found "David Harvey Studios". He is a very nice, understanding and knowledge gentleman that helped me greatly. I obviously was one sided about hair systems having only used Farrell for 8 years and never gone anywhere else. He explained to me a lot of simple little things that I was doing and more so Farrell was not doing to properly maintain my system. I used to get my system back from Farrell having spent about $200 a month on services. And right away clumps of hair would brush right out and when looking at the system it would appear almost dotted. These things I just thought that's the way it is, but I was wrong. You should never see any dots from the hair being knotted to the system. Yes, Romania is very nice and the only employee that was there at Farrell the entire time I went there. And would do hair additions extremely fast, but they were extremely sloppy loose and would fall out right away. David Harvey's people do take a considerably longer time to do the hair additions (almost twice as long, but they don't normally work with this type of system Farrell's), but they were done very efficient. Another issue is my front piece would rip almost as soon as I replaced it. I actually had one front piece only last 45 days and I had to order a new one. The truth is it does not have to be that delicate of a material to be invisible to the eye. And also, more importantly!!! The system does not cost $2500 because Farrell says it is the best and quality cost money, which I have no problem with. But Harvey's price is $1500 I plan on ordering one this month, I will keep you all posted to my on going experiences with David Harvey. But I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of a quality Hair Replacement salon. I am very happy to announce Great Customer Service, Does still exist!!!! . Thanks to you, David Harvey!!

TO Daniel:

Your assessment of Farrell is right on!!! He did the same thing here in Atlanta- my boyfriend an ex-customer. He fired everyone and closed his center in Buckhead. Now he comes to town at his convenience and PUSHES existing clients and NEW Consultations to buy (2) systems at one time $5000...he does not offer maintenance-instead he conveniences you to take it off everynight and sign an agreement to get hair added and crap for 5 years...then you sit and wait--giving this lie that it takes 3 months to get it made because he needs to travel around the rest of globe GREEDILY taking deposits from everyone else and stock piling his cash and he wants you to wait on him to return in 2 to 3 months for our cut-in and to get your system. He might even have your new system in 2 months if you are lucky )if he comes back sooner) But I thought custome orders HAD to take 3 months to make. (LIAR!!!)
Now he doesnt have to pay any employees in Atlanta or share profits with anyone. He brings you into the most unprofessional place--look at the website--the ATLANTA location is now the Marriott Hotel at the airport--he is bringing your $5000 hair systems to you to a hotel room and making you wait on him. Then you are supposed to be grateful because FARRELL himself is going to do the cut-in --like no one else can--give me a break in the HOTEL "suite" and the consultations too. He makes all this money and is too cheap to rent a conference room in the hotel or go to a nice salon where it would be convenient and comfortable for the customer. How arrogant!

His new racket: Buy 2 systems so when they fall apart you can send one back. If you complain about it--forget about customer service--when the Atlanat location was open- the employees in Atlanta were instructed to LIE, LIE, Lie and blame everything on the customer. The customer is never right. If the stylist complained to all mighty Richard Farrell--they were fired-they were not allowed to be on the customers side. SO he closed the Salon doors..sighting..to many personal problems and complaints. Farrell systems are good and the company was great - 7 years ago..until Farrell got greedy and decided to go on tour and keep all the money for his self and book appointments in hotels.

People for $2500 a wig..dont you think you should have the comfort of a NICE salon and private restrooms while being serviced...We live in Atlanta and I am looking for a new place to be serviced. He claims to be the best in the world ---but who is VOTING on this???? His staff?? Prove it! His wife is running everything...into the ground and he is to greedy to notice. His arrogance and "God Like" demeanor is insulting to the existing clients that have been around for 8 years. I dont want to send my hair to California for new hair--I want it done here.

GOOD BUY Richard Farrell--you dont deserve the business in Atlanta, New York or anywhere on the East coast--you messed it up now get out of the way and stop coming back taking money from new people who you dont really want to service either. New customers- do this try calling the company for some customer service once you receive your new hair and have a problem--customer service does not exist and Richard and his Wife are rude and will tell you what you can do with your hair systems. Totally unbelievable. Quality--but no Customer Service equals= you cant have pur business anymore!
