My wife & I invested over $50,000 with the expectation of a return of 20%-30%. The representative also failed to inform us that the investment would be locked in for 25 years. As I was 65 at the time (8 years ago), I never would have aggreed to this investment.
Every 1/4 for the past 6 years, I have submitted a "Redemption Form" only to be denied.
The investment is lock into an RRSP with a company and the annual fees are greater than any return.
As I cannot move it to another institution, I am still paying, monthly, on this investment.
