Complaint Review: FastTrain College - Pembroke Pines Florida
FastTrain College FastTrain II Corporation, Wrongful Termination, Allowance of Sexual Harrassment and Threats, Convicts Run the Show Pembroke Pines, Florida
I would like to complain that I was wrongfully terminated after being a loyal employee of over 3 years but because I complained about being threatened and sexually harrassed. I was fired a week later with no grounds.
First, we have beautiful girls who go out and solicit men in the miami area and then bring them in their cars back to the school in Broward County. Most of them have had a criminal record or are going to jail soon etc but they still enroll them. Some of them dont even have a high school diploma but Admissions tells them to lie and say that they do. Back in 2011 they were selling diplomas to them through AWA.
Due to the students we enroll is why we have the hostility in the work place. One student cursed me out after cursing out another instructor, when I complained nothing was done. A couple weeks later he cursed out yet another instructor but was then taken to lunch by the campus director as he felt he was a troubled student. That same student made a threat to another employee that he is going to pay for an instructor quitting, and he threatened another instructor a few weeks prior yet he is still there. Another student writes me a story using my full name and that my heart gets ripped out but my boss said that it wasnt weird and she cant do anything about it.
A third student told me he is going to chop off my b***s and slash my tires if I dont give him candy and then said he is just joking and I am his baby. A fourth student called school one day to say he will not be there and if he can think of me all day implying he was going to masterbate. Yet when I complained, my complaints were not legit enough. Lets not forget a student assaulting another employee and being expelled back in November 2011 or another student becoming threatening to another employee where he had to call the cops to come to the school.
The worst of all is dealing with a fellow employee, who was convicted for 4 accounts of attempted murder. We got along fine, he did his work and I did mine. Then corporate came there to talk about rumors that were not true. Ever since then he has acted rude and his boss does nothing. He got extremely rude with me one morning and in the afternoon he called me to let everything off his chest but when I had to hang up and I didnt answer any of his calls because I was at work he decided to send me text messages that I was a dirty b*tch, a lying h*e, he has no respect for me etc. This frightened me due to his past, especially since he tried to shoot up his ex girlfriend. Out of fear for my life I told my boss but the next day she wrote me up because he made up some lie to her and then fired me a week later with no grounds. Rumor has it that these two or probably involved in some way as they are quite friendly around each other.
Lets not forget how they falsify documents and student records. ACICS came for an accredidation visit not too long ago and we did not have a medical lab at the time as FastTrain told them we did. They then brought in a lab with all the medical equipment and set it up at the campus for their visit. Once inspection at our campus was complete, they packed up the medical lab and brought it to the next campus to fool them about them having a lab too. Sucks to know that they are supposedly being paid off as well.
Before I was let go, we were suppose to put participation for students who did not attend class, but if the instructor gave them the make up work for the day then they should get participation but participation falls under recording attendance and we had to do it so they can continue to receive financial aid, that is playing with federal money. Lets not forget how the Corporate office will change grades in certain cases so we can just graduate the student already or so that they dont get discouraged about failing a course.
The students smoke weed all the time on break and come back stinking of it. They also buy it from that same bus driver who sent me the texts because he told me he sells it to some staff members as well and I saw a transaction being made between him and that staff member only proving what he said.
They fired me for bringing to their attention these facts and told me they cannot give me a reason as to why they were firing me. I showed up everyday on time, earlier than scheduled actually, gave them my time even after I punched out, never called out sick except maybe once and never took vacation except a few days in October, have always gotten my work done and plenty of bosses telling me I am doing a great job so then why fire me? When I was written up and I complained about whats going on my boss looked at me and said maybe I should not be there anymore.
I started to cry because as much as I would like to find a job somewhere else due to the hostility, I needed that job because I had bills to pay and just got a new car as I had a bad accident back in May 2001. They knew this but didnt care, and then decided to do it the day before my birthday. Happy Birthday to me. This same boss told me she was looking to get out too because it is too crazy there but she was going through a seperation and has a daughter. She also gave me a contact that she has contacted, but then turned on me.
Also in 2004 when they were doing the Sallie Mae loans, my brother was attending and then decided it was not for him. My mother wrote them a letter to please not send out another loan as he is no longer attending. Well they sent out another loan and FastTrain cashed it of course now causing my mom and brother to be in bigger debt that collections keeps calling. FastTrain should have never cashed that check but they were crooks then and still are crooks now.
I have so much more to say but I will leave that for someone else to investigate. I was done wrong very wrong and they are letting a convict tell them how it is and what to do and fired someone that actually did their job. They are just running a shady operation and I feel bad for some of the students because they dont have money to pay them back and are not even getting anything out of the program. Some of them yes and move on to better things but these days it is a few.
I also would not trust a medical assistant who said they graduated from Fast Train drawing my blood or reading my vitals as they are not being properly trained, especially if they are not in attendance to do the hands on labs or are just getting grades to pass along. For a student and a parent I hope they think twice before enrolling, as for the employees still there enduring the hostility just keep your head up and start looking for something better because you all dont deserve to be treated like animals, and dont be afraid to stand up fpr your rights. True I got fired but I will find justice somehow.
I just hope I can find a better job as I have bills to pay and cant make them now and FastTrain wanted me to waive away my rights in order to get a good reference out of them, it is just unethical their whole operation. I am sure they are coming after me for writing this but I have written nothing but facts and the truth. I also left out their names, but they all know who they are. Thanks for screwing me over just like you do to the students.
