I received a letter January 11, 2013, stating that I had won $2,342,000 and needed to pay a $20.00 fee for the money to be released.  The check for $20.00 was mailed January 16, 2013.  However, I have not received the winnings or heard anything back from the company.

I receive over 15 letters a week requesting $15 to $25 for these scams.  They all are filed in the shredder.  It is best not to respond to these companies.  You should never have to pay anything but taxes for money you have won.
