We ordered a fireback from fireplacestuff.com in mid-December as a Christmas present. We were notified the item was back-ordered and to allow 4-6 weeks, so fine.

As time passed, no fireback arrived although the credit card was charged right away. 4-6 weeks became two months, three months, and so on.

We've repeatedly requested a refund with no effect. The company says they have to "look up the order", then they need the last 4 digits of the credit card, then they need the order number. Even with all this information, they now repond by not answering the phone and not responding to e-mail.

we recive thousands of orders and if a product was not recieved we would absoloutly refund the customer. All we need is the order number on the origional order recipt from the purchase. we can not look up an order from credit card numbers as our system does not retain the information and we do not refference orders by credit card numbers. we answer our phones daily and if a message is left the calls are returned. we will certainly refund any amount chareged but without an order number it is impossible to find the order. please call us at 201-843-6192 or 973-809-4345 or sent an e mail to Tadams@Fireplacestuff.com and we will help as best we can with whatever information you do have on the order.
