First Communications, LLC Failure to deliver promised Internet speed Akron Ohio

We contracted with First Comm for high speed Internet at a speed of 100 Mbps symmetrical (100 Megabits per second for both uploads and downloads). They failed repeatedly to deliver on that essential promise. For example, on August 13, 2018, speed tests revealed we were at 10Mbps for both uploads and downloads, approximately 1/10th of what was promised.

A few days later they were up to 22Mbps for downloads and 52Mbps for uploads – marginal improvements that still fell short and that they were not able to maintain. First Comm never came close to performing to the contractually-agreed speed.   They confoirmed to us they would not be able to meet the contracted speed but they are demanding we pay them nearly $30,000 in cancellation fees.
