Received a phone call from a women, can't remmber her name. Very convincing, about this florida passport. I would get 400 dollars in free airline tickets for just taking a look at their package. My husband had just got a deal on a vaction package to wisconsin, so stupid me thought ok sounds good. Gave her all the info including my checking account info. I received the package in the mail, nice looking with water and dolphins on it.
I set it aside for a couple of days. Well I opened it on the last day of the 7 day trial, 9-28-05. I call the number inside 1-888-612-2894 automated voice stated they had found my phone number and then repeated it back to me. Told me to press 1 if I wanted to cancel my package deal, so I did, voice said that the transaction had been recieved and no more charges would be taken out of my account.
ok today my husband asks "I thought we agreed not to do the florida thing" i said we did. Well it was charged to our account and we are now over drawn, great!!
So I get on our checking acount web site, get a picture of the check, because of course, stupid me threw away the package after I thought I had cancelled.
Well the 888 number was on the check. This time I do get a real person, named les.ext 294. who stated my deal had ended on the 27. That's not what the letter said. It said I had until the 28 to cancel. To me that means nothing should have been done with my checking account until the 29th.
I told Les i wanted my account credited he said he couldnt do that. I asked why not? He gave me some mombo jumbo about the federal goverment hadnt released the check to them yet. But he could put my name on a list that when they got their money they would refund me. I said that would be fine. He also said that i could write the company and they would refund my money.
And thats how I got here. The automated voice gave me the address and the web site. That's how I found out I will probably never get my money back but I found this web page and put it on my favorites list in case I need it again. Hopefully I won't be so stupid again

Long story short. My friend got caught up in this same deal. You have only just begun with the charges. In addition to the first charge from Florida Passport, there will be 2 additional charges, one from Teleflex (?) and another from another travel agency. Call back the 800 # and ask who else will be waiting to be 'canceled' and they'll tell you. Cancel those asap.
We informed the bank that there had been an unauthorized withdrawal from my friends account. We had to file a police report explaining the situation. As soon as the bank received the police report #, the money was put back into her account. In the police report make sure to mention the reports found on this website (we included a copy of the first page of reports found on this site). The entire thing takes approx 4 days (at least in this case), and is well worth the effort (the charges on my friends account were for $149.95, $59.95 and $49.95, all of which were replaced by the bank).
Hope this helps you and good luck!!
