The door ordered in June 2013, work completed in December 2013, more than 6 months later.
Also when they finally installed the door did not put in dummy handles I purchased. Saleman Brian and even owner Scott have never gotten back to me about installation of the handles after numerous phone calls and emails.
Also they put a lien on my home to secure a $2000 installation! They allage that it was a requriement to get a permit but I was assured by my code people that it was not necessary. They blackmailed me into closing and paying in full before the lien was released.
Please do not use this company or you will regret it. If I can keep one person from buying from them the 10 minutes of my time that it took to complete this was worth it. Regards. Pissed Vic

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
Response to Vic Complaint
AUTHOR: Scott Berman - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Monday, August 17, 2015
To Whom it may concern:
I am responding to the allegation from a customer known as "Vic" unfortunatley, we have no way to verify the customer, nor the allegations as to legth of time the job took or the reason for the alledeged delay as we do not have enough information on this individual customer to respond in an educated fashion.
However, what we can respond to is the statement that a lien was filed on this property. Per company policy the only time a lien is filed on a property is when the customer has not made payment as agreed under the terms of the executed contract.
Florida Window and Door only files a lien as a means of last resort in order to protect our financial interest in the amount outstanding. In accordance with the Florida Construction Law we are goverened by the amount of time by which we can file the lien before our rights expire.
