My boyfriend went to Fone Art and activated 2 Sprint lines. We all know about the Sprint referral program which Sprint is offering. Meaning after my boyfriend's activation, we are entitle to a $25.00 referral credit per person since I am a current Sprint customer too. However, when my boyfriend came home with two new cell phones, I tried dialing #733 (number for claiming the referral) but the system prompted that my request was a duplicate request and i need to wait 6-8 weeks before getting the referral.

I thought it was strange because if the cell phone is brand new why would my request for the referral award be a duplicate. I waited a week and tried again on both lines, but the same message prompted. So i decided to call Fone Art to inquire about the reason for this duplication message. And I found out that it was their staff that process the referral after my boyfriend left the store.

Although my boyfriend will receive 2 credit ($50) from Sprint, but what about the referee's reward? Obviously it will go to the store or the staff. I was really angry because they claimed for the credit without my boyfriend's consent. And a staff referred me to her Supervisor. i spoke to the supervisor regarding this dishonest practice. That guy was really unprofessional and rude. He got irritated and start raising his voice at me. I kept telling him that its not right for his company nor the staff to do such thing.

This referal program is for friends not for companies. And I clearly said if I refered my boyfriend, we would both recieve a $50.00 visa debit card from Sprint since we both have two lines on our account. But the so call manager insisted that 1 account can only refer 1 account regardless of the lines we have and the way they did it will give my boyfriend more money than normal referrals. So I called Sprint to verify this information and two Sprint representative from different locations confirmed that referrals are per line not account. So if I have 5 lines on my account, I can refer 5 friends to Sprint and can receive 5 referral credits of $25.00/each. I told Sprint regarding this situation and the sales representative told me that Sprint employees, affiliate employees and third party employees are not eligible for this program.

So obviously Fone Art ILLEGALLY submitted my boyfriend's referral. I called Fone Art for the very last time and told them the information Sprint told me. The Fone Art sales representative tooked down my cell phone numbers and said she will give me back the $50.00 referral credit, but she can't promise how long its going to take. I accepted her offer and hung up. But when you think of it again, they already processed my boyfriend's referral, how can they give it back to me? So obviously they will process their new customer's referal with my cell phone numbers. If you want to get a new cell phone, DON'T GO TO FONE ART!!!
