In 2006, we bought a new Surveyor camper from General RV in Waterford, MI. Since the camper has two fold-outs, we were concerned about the workmanship and whether an extended warranty would cover any repairs and were told by salesman that the warranty would cover the fold-outs too. So we paid $500 for the warranty.
Fast forward to today, the front fold-out has started to come apart from the trailer. The stitching came right out! We have used the camper four times and for the stitching to come out to me is a manufacturer's defect! But guess what--Forest River will not cover the repair and neither will the extended warranty company! It's going to cost US to repair it.
DO NOT BUY a Forest River RV. Workmanship is shoddy and sloppy and of poor quality. You will be sorry you ever bought one.
And, DO NOT BUY from General RV. They will tell you anything you want to hear as long as they sell that RV, but when it comes to repairs, it's their word against yours. They are LIARS!
