You can do the same thing

You can search various places where you have lived to see if a State Income Tax is due you or property tax or something like that. The State I live in has a 'finder' option on its State website so people can search for monies owed them by any State agency. When people move or change names (marry) and then cannot be located the agency with the money does not start looking under every rock to find the person so the money sits in the agency. In theory, the company that you pay $20 to just does what you can do for free, search the web and then if they find money they are a hero and if they don't, too bad. Usually the amounts 'found' are minimal (less than the $20).

Read before you buy

This response to the complaint is scary but it is illegal to search out names like that and solicit them by the phone. I don't know why you would call one a fraud and not another. I used to work with this company and while they could handle their refund response time a little better, they are definitely not frauds. Customers are unhappy with how they need to obtain a refund, but if you read the faq's on the site, it's all explained before anyone even purchases.
The fact is, money is unclaimed because the owner cannot always be contacted. Anyone that has been involved with this knows that. They do not hold personal information about customers to confirm matches so they send mass mailings to people who match the last name. If you see your name, it's up to you to buy.
To see people take advantage of someone already feeling let down is far worse then anything you can say about a company you obviously know nothing about.

Geeze Russell, maybe if you learned how to actually create sentences when typing, people could actually read and UNDERSTAND what you're saying. Go back to school.
Anyhow, I find that 'foundmoney.com' is very fraudulent. How can a company "find" all of your moeny that they claim BELONGS to you, yet no one has ever contacted you about it before?.
If they know enough about you to know how much money the govt. owes you, then why don't they also know your phone #, address, so on? And why do they make you pay $20, $30, up to $40 for 'finding' this money they say they already KNOW is yours? And why, if they're the SLIGHTEST bit reputable, would it take any more than ONE search for your money? 3, 10, 20 searches? SURE.....
Yeah, sure, I'LL spend 20-40 bucks for you to tell me "Woops, guess there ISN'T really anything out there for you, thought maybe there was..."
How about I only charge you 5 bucks to tell you the same? Then we'll all benefit. You'll save $15, and I'll make $5 for doing what foundmoney.com does...NOTHING.
To those of you have fell victim to this scam, I feel sorry for you. Like I said earlier, if you want ME to tell you (for ONLY 5 BUCKS!) if there's any free money out there for you, I'd be glad to help!
Just send an e-mail with $5.00 via Paypal to 'geeze_ma@hotmail.com' Thank you for your business. See, I said thank you!
