Fraternal Order Of Eagles #3482 The Social Club will be happy to SHORTCHANGE you Venice, Florida

I have reveiwed the rebuttels that were posted by "Owner" on 13 Mar 2012. It  appears they are accusing me  of being a drug addict and a drunk. I have never used illegal drugs and have no intention of ever starting. I do take blood pressure and colesterol lowering meds. It appears the Eagles are trying to falsly and unjustly accuse me of something which is exactly what they said I was doing. Before you accuse me of being a drugy you should check your own house. I did a quick check of public records and found the following for some of the aerie officers. One officer was (8/3/2011) arrested and charged with felony battery resulting from great bodily harm. Another officer was charged a while back (10 yrs) with aggravated battery, person uses a deadly weapon. Another officer has three battery charges and one drug charge. And finally one officer has approx 15-20 arrests for mostly drug charges along with resisting arrest with violence, burglary,dealing in stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon and drug paraphanalia. It is my understanding that the officer who was charged last Aug had a problem with drugs. It seems to me if a person wanted to use drugs then the Eagles might be just the place. Again I signed my original report and I still stand by my words. I will also state that the Eagles # 3482 does a wonderful job with fundraising and helping the community. Also the kitchen staff are excellent and the food they serve is great. I'm sure you can agree with me on these last two points.

To be a good member u must participate and volunteer! Not just be a critic. Perhaps u should examine your own values. Are u a good mother-uh no. Are u a good person in general uh-no. And by the way, you are video taped taking your own money off the bar and putting it into your own pocket. No one ripped u off, ur too drunk to remember. Perhaps you should join some other club. Oh wait Irenes drug den closed!

Yes I am an Aerie member in good standing and proud to be Aerie 3482 in Nokomis Florida. The person whom wrote this misleading report may not be aware of the 24/7 video cameras we have within and out of our social quarters! YOU are seen in full view putting YOUR money into YOUR pocket. It is not wise, kind or socially acceptable to accuse other members unjustly! I strongly suggest you withdraw your membership.

I have reviewed Mr. Soltics comments and I offer the following: This is the only report I have filed on this Aerie. I have talked to several people who have had similiar experiences with this bartender (Mike, Les, Laura, Charlie, Laurie, and Rick ). All of these people have confirmed that Bartender Lori has either stolen money or shortchanged them on more than one ocassion. Obviously the club is aware of the problem as Mr. Soltic in his rebuttel stated that they have had this problem before. Most of these people will not go to the club when she is working or they will not patronize the club at all. I ask you Are we all wrong?? Remember these are only the people that I am aware of. It makes no difference how much time or volunteer work you do. If you are  dishonest then you do a diservice to the organization. If Mr. Soltic would do a little checking ( bartender Linda) he might decide to open his eyes and see whats really going on. If anyone should complain about this situation then you will probably be suspended from the club.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Venice/Nokomis # 3482 is a non-profit organization that is about "People Helping People". After reading this report that was given to me by a fellow member I just could not let this go; So I have decided that this subject is in need of a rebuttal. I would Like to state that I am an officer of this Aerie, I am the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Any complaints or problems that occur in the social quarters are always brought to the trustees no matter how small or insignificant. I have known the bartender in question for many years and know that the alligations that you are refering to are unfounded and are false, due to the fact that bartenders are not allowed to consume alcoholic beverages while working "on the clock" at the aerie, so with that said I will explain this simply that they are sober when they are working and most likely you were not. This woman and her husband do more for this Aerie in there own spare time than you can ever imagine, from working with our vendors for benefits or helping a member with their plumbing and all of this is because of the fellowship they believe in. Sometimes people that have no respect for others and low self-esteem tend to try and lash out at others any way they can in order to make themselves feel better. I understand that it does happen and I am very sorry for you. We have only had to deal with something like this once in the past so I am guessing that you are the same person. If there is a problem, I would suggest that you come to a trustee meeting and voice your problem. The meeting is every Thursday at 6:00PM at the Aerie and is open to all members of the Aerie. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to clear the air and possibly give you some direction to becoming a better person.
