this law firm filed legal papers on me for debt on credit card and i was trying to secure funds to do a settlement because my wife and i are on social security and i don't have large cash flow to pay this debt. it took a little over a month to secure the over 20,000 dollar funds. Either they didn,t want to wait for me to settle or they found that i had assets they could go after so they don.t have to  settle and go for the whole amount. If i had the money on hand i would of paid the debt. I was going to have to borrow the money. Money is already tight for me. I didn't know that my wife was this much until it was to late. As it stands right now they got a automatic default judjment against me which will be on my house.

i called yesterday to see if there was a way to still get a settlement on the debt, to try to lower the price because when i got to pay 300.00 a month when i barely get by. You cain,t pay what you don't have. it now 10:19 the next day and they have not answered the call i left. They probobly won't even let me get this debt off my house and i don't know if they can make sell my house at public auction and loose more money. I don't want that to happen, i am to old and have health issues and can't work part time job to replace the losses.

They were  robo the papers because they wre process 40,000 cases a month. they only had five lawyers and about 100 other staff so the lawyer were just wizzing them thru. Also they put deceptive paper work in their legal papers. When you first get served the summons the paper tells you to send in a answer but it doesn't mention that if you don't respond you loose all rights to go to trial. they fast track the case and you loose without even to defend yourself. What they did in georgia they are doing to south caroliniens. They make millions by taking peoples rigts because if you show up for trial you are on a even playing field and they have to show up for court and defend their case.

If i had gone to court if they had to be fair and lost i would not be able to say a thing. I not trying to make excuses for my wife but Bank of America gives you a low credit limit to hook you in and when you are late one time they raise your intrest rate to 19% or in some cases 29.99%. A nd your account stays that high. it down a minute and figure if your account is say 25,000 dollars and the interest rate and you didn't pay on it for 5 years it would add up to over 90,000 dollars. When i signed foe my wife there was very little internet and you couldn't checkup on a company to check on their reputation before you get involved. I would tell any to not let them snooker you to keep a large balance cause you just play into their hands. By the way Bank of America doesn't have a steller reputation.
