*Consumer Suggestion: NOT your fault at all

Free Credit Report.com is not free. What you don't know is they will sign you up for a serivce and bill you $14.95 per month. I was on hold for a very long time and after threatening to report them to this site they finally agreed to credit back my money.
We shall see if I get it.

The word "free" means "F R E E." the fact is, the "free" credit report is NOT free and they never have any INTENTION of making it free. So no, don't :"blame the victim" for not canceling. This kind of "negative" non billing, where the consumer has to do the work of getting what has been advertised, is actually illegal.

On the very first page of the website it clearly states that if you don't cancel within 7 days you'll be charged the fee. For a truly FREE credit report (which are you are entitled to once a year) you have to go to annualcreditreport.com.
