I signed up for a free trial from this company as part of a paid survey on 4/10/2008. The cost stated was $1.95.

This was processing for a possibly "free" trial period of 7-days. I called on 4-14-09 to cancel this subscription and was told by one of their representatives at 1-877-481-6826 by the name of Alexandria that the fee for this 7-day trial was actually $12.00 but she could give me a special introductory price of $4.95. I told her I did not want this and to cancel my membership.

Now there is a charge of -$1.00 taken from my account (listed as CIC*CE CREDIT REPORT 800-3888725).

In addititon to the -$1.00 charge there was another charge of -$29.95 (listed as CIC*CE CREDIT REPORT 800-3888725) on my account. I told her I wanted to cancel the membership and the $29.95. She said I could cancel the membership but the $29.95 charge was a one-time fee that could not be refunded.

I told her I did not autorize the $29.95 and wanted my money refunded. She stated that this was for access to a report from the 3 major credit bureaus. I told her I could get this information for free and I did not want their report. Her comment was "This fee can not be refunded".

I asked for an address to write them. I was given the address: Consumer Info/CRG, PO Box 19729, Irvine CA 92623-9729. I wrote and mailed them a letter requesting a refund of my $29.95 on 4-12-08.

I went to the website and looked at the report and it says basically nothing
