I received a phone call having been a sucker to some email that appeared in my in box. I should have smelled a rat then, but being the traveller that I am, a chance to win a free holiday was too good to miss out on.

With the "congratulations you've won" line I was immediately suspicious, but let him go on thinking this is too good to be true!

After the speel and the various questions I posed (all of them answered to a well rehearsed line) then came the clincher: "which credit card would you like to put this on?" When asked what sort of verification do I have for this transaction it came back "I will give you a verbal receipt!"???

I decided to stall and asked him if he can call me back just to give me tikme to think. He was going to call me back in 2 hours time. It is now 3 hours and surprise! surprise! he has never called and I feel sure he won't.

I can only thank this website as this was the first thing I did. Do a search on these guys. Thank you for confirming my suspicions. This is an invaluable site that can hopefully help so many people who are less suspicious than myself.
