Full Sail and Fedex robbed me. On September 19, 2011, I was suppose to receive my first bundle to begin classes at Full Sail University. Being that my tuition had already been paid for through my Financial Aid and my Stafford Loan, I was all go to began my Freshman year at Full Sail University. I left specific instructions to my enrollment adviser to have the guy that was to delivering my bundle, to give me a call when he was near my city for delivery. I received one phone call at around 2:30 in the afternoon. My phone rang exactly two times before I could answer it. Well when I did get to answer my phone, the guy had already hung up. I was suppose to start classes on the 20th of September 2011. There was noway I was starting classes without my materials that I had already paid for, so I reenrolled for the next starting date. I was given a new starting date, set for the 24th of October 2011. During the time between September 19,2011 and my new starting date I was persecuted and robbed again. I was instructed by the claims department with FEDEX to file a claim on my property. Mr. Leon Clemons was assigned to my case. I filed my claim on September 25, 2011, and faxed Mr. Clemons a copy. I still have the original copy. I was told then that if FEDEX couldn't locate my package, then I was going to be reimbursed for my lost package. Cool. The package was presumed lost, and I was due a refund. So I thought! I was told by Mr. Clemons that as soon as I could fax him proof that I paid for the package, that he would send my reimbursement in the mail. This is when things got tricky. I then faxed Mr. Clemons a copy of my Project LaunchBox Confirmation, in which it shows where I purchased my first bundle from Full Sail. I then received a call from Ms. Brocard stating "It's out of our hands since you have already filed a claim." I have on my voice mail as well. After Mr. Clemons received a copy of my proof, he wanted more proof. And became hostle when I told him that the business office refused to give me an invoice. Mr. Clemons would never return any of the calls that I made to him. I was the one doing his job. A few days later, I tried to get in touch with Mr. Clemons and thought that the people at Fedex were lieing when they told me that they didn't know who I was talking about. Then finally after about thirty minutes on hold, the consultant got a hold of him. During my wait I was told by his consultant that it was a company policy that FEDEX could not have any dealings with a this party. Meaning Full Sail University. When Mr. Clemons was located he verified her statement, but only after I asked him. He Then became furious again, replying to me "if you don't get me that invoice then I'm going to send the refund to Full Sail. There was no one to report this to through Fedex. And there's no one to report it to at Full Sail University. Here's the math. I paid $3,150 for the bundle from Full Sail. The reimbursement from FEDEX was $2,200. The reimbursement for my claim was supposedly sent to someone at Full Sail without my authorization or signature. And I was refused a public record from my own account by Full Sail University. The law has been broken due to my expense. I enrolled again on October 13, 2011. I mentioned my situation during my orientation, when I was asked to give a comment on my advisers. NO RESPONSE!! Who will help me now. Im afraid to withdraw. But if I don't here anything concerning this matter, I'm gone!!! William 0002681243

Did you get this sorted out?

AUTHOR: gfx42 - (United States of America)

I feel for you. Honestly. Did you ever resolve this issue? I don't know why all of the other responses here are so harsh. Bottom line, you're just another person who got scammed by a for-profit school. Once you sign your name on the dotted line, they got you.

All of that friendly service goes out the window. They could give a hoot less if you received your launchbox. As far as they're concerned, you're just taking up their precious "recruiting" time when you're on the phone trying to get this issue resolved.

Hope you got this sorted out though =/

Man....

Hey man, I'm a fullsail student and I can probably give you an idea of where that $900 came from. Your laptop itself is around $2200 - $3500 depending on degree selected. Your also paying for software that might not be shipped at the same time as your lappy. So, if FedEx is so incompetent to even find your main package, then they prob lost your other one as well. The only difference is you would never know this package with sofware (adobe master suite, pro tools, ect, highly expensive) even went missing. And if your not complaining its missing then why would FedEx do anything about it? The insurance claims on lost parcels are issued to the senders not the receiver. and on that note id bet my bottom dollar the claim processed by FedEx only covered your laptop only not the software you were supposed to receive with it. Im sorry you experience was less that pleasant.

"The Truth Hurts Only A Liar"

AUTHOR: William Whitson - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, December 03, 2011

Still there are no evidence in your favor. I was most impressed by the way you evaded the company policy issue. You know lies only compound lies. And the next time you decide to belittle someone regarding the constitution, maybe you should read it yourself. Your bias opinion didn't faze me. It was your lack of judgement that stained your ego. The Constitution is like the twelve step program. It works if you work it. Now explain the  $950.00, or were you just playing a guessing game that you knew you would lose to the truth. From point A to point B you're still a conspirator to the crime. You lose! Do not collect $200. Go directly to jail!!!!!

Very impressive.

Actually it's kind of sad.    Whenever I see posts that invoke the constitution by persons who have obviously never read the document, I've just got to shake my head.

William, all that your last post did was to confirm to anyone reading, that you enjoy throwing out high sounding terms like democracy and constituionality without actually knowing what they mean.

For future reference, your complaint has nothing to do with civil rights or democratic priciples.  It's a simple business dispute (if that).    Also, records belonging to the university are not public records, so you are not afforded any rights to them under public records statutes.

Sorry! When is it legal to Violate The Constitution

AUTHOR: William Whitson - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, December 02, 2011

William's Rebuttal, There were no penalties for me having to reregister. Now explain the $950.00! When is it legal to deny one his or her a public record? Especial when it was his or her personal account. Know Explain how my constitutional rights were not violated. When is it legal for a party to break a company policy during litigation? Now explain what's legal about telling a customer that your company policy forbids their company from binding with a third party. Meaning Full Sail University! Stop sugarcoating the equality of democracy, and go from point A to point B without committing a crime, and you as well as Full Sail will be Law Abiding Citizens.   Thank You

Sorry

AUTHOR: Susan - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, October 28, 2011

Sorry but it was correct for FedEx to send the insurance claim to the people who shipped the item.

Your issue, you say you paid $3,150 and FedEx paid the school $2,200  on the lost package claim.

Do the application fees and re-registering numerous times add up to the $950 difference?
