This is report is inaccurate

AUTHOR: thomasalvord - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, January 28, 2016

The report above is fabricated, and actually the exact opposite of what happened.

As a background, we at Funded Today run marketing for crowdfunding campaigns. We have the best success record in the entire world when it comes to crowdfunding marketing. Just last year in 2015 we worked with over 250 projects and helped raise over $40 million on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. You can see some of the projects we have raised money for at http://www.funded.today/get-more-pledges.

You can see we are the #1 crowdfunding marketing partner for Indiegogo here: https://www.indiegogo.com/partners

While we get great results for our clients, we don't claim or pretend that our marketing works for all projects. In some instances, we're not sure how popular a crowdfunding project will be. For such clients we charge an upfront or due diligence fee, where we run our marketing to see whether we can drive pledges.

In the above complaint, that is what happened. We charged an upfront payment, and the client's project did not perform well. You can see they only had 40 backers and did not reach their funding goal: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/siam-7x-dual-screen-smartphone

Previously, (though we have since changed our policy), we would start running marketing for a project before an upfront due diligence payment had been received. We would begin performing on a signed contract with a client, in good faith that they would pay the upfront payment. That's what happened with this client, Darius. We ran his marketing before he paid.

After we started running our marketing, we never saw any payment come in from Darius. Darius alleged that he had made the payment, but we never received anything in our bank account. When we asked him to verify that he had paid, he would call us liars, poor at keeping our books, or send us a screenshoot that looked like a photoshoped version of a wire transfer.

Many times we kindly said that we trust him, but simply needed to verify that he did in fact pay. Two days ago I followed up with him on the non-payment, and said we would like to jump on a call to go over things, otherwise we would send the outstanding balance to collections.

He got upset, threatened that he would write negative stuff about us, and he apparently made good on his word.

So it's ironic that Darius writes a negative review about Funded Today, when we told him our marketing may or may not work, he was 100% aware of that, he didn't pay, he lied that he did pay, and then he came and posted on RipOffReport that we scammed him out of $2,500.

The party that was scammed was Funded Today. Not the other way around. We ran our marketing and he never paid what he agreed to pay.

Our results for clients, as provided for in the links above, I think should be proof enough that what I'm describing here is accurate.

Either way, for those who might read this review, feel free to contact Funded Today if you have any questions. Also, if you want, I can put you in touch with hundreds of project creators who can vouche for our services, results, and good faith. If you want to talk with some of them, you are more then welcome.

Sincerely,
Thomas Alvord
