FUNTIONA:    Sleazy Internet/Mobile Phone Ring Tones Company (www.funtonia.com)



Supposedly I opened an account on a day when I was not anywhere near either my phone nor a computer!!



I received an e-mail congratulating me on "recently opening an account with FUNTONIA".  Problem is I didn't open an account.  So I went to their webside to cancel the account.  After searching a bit I uncovered the instructions for "How do I cancel my membership?" which say:



       "Please go to www.funtonia.com on your computer and then 

        click on the account details on the main page."



The is no "account details" link on the main page!!!  Even if you login and access the "My Account" link there is no cancel option!!!

There is no phone number where you can contact these people. 

Your only option is to send e-mail to one of the following (supplied as a drop-down list)

    Customer Service

    Media Request

    Sales, Billing

    Technical Issue

    Partnership

    Licensing

    Stop Informational Messaging.




They claim someone will respond "within Two Business Working Days based on immediacy of all related applications."

The website also says:

    5.1 We do not cancel accounts because of any personal reasons.

    5.3 Before asking for a refund - Please specify the problem you are having with our services

          to our support team, so we will be able to assist you better.

    5.4 In any case, refund situation is not an automatic action by Funtonia - it will

          consider checking your device with our support team & conferring with our billing

         department and it will take time.




What a crock!!!



Someone can create an account in my name for which I'm immediately responsible.  But no one has ever verified that I actually signed up for said account (a simple phone call would have been nice) I cannot believe there is no way to immediately cancel fraudulent accounts!!
