Furniture UR Way BIGGEST SCAM EVER Portland, Oregon

I originally discovered Furniture UR Way when browsing craigslist.org for furniture. I was about to move and wanted to purchase new furniture for my new house. I came read many ads and found multiple ads that Furniture UR Way posted. The prices were great and I was in love the with sectional that I picked out.

I didn't purchase the sectional immediately. I am the kind of consumer that I think long and hard before making a large purchase. In the days before ordering the sectional, I had exchanged emails with a so called "representative" from Furniture UR Way and her kind words and helpful information made me feel at ease with my decision. I had also used the "live chat" feature on their website to converse with a "representative" as well. All in all, it seems legit.

The day finally came and I ordered the sectional using my paypal account for $549.00 which included shipping. I immediately received a confirmation email detailing my order which to me seemed normal for an online purchase.

It wasn't until about 6 days after ordering the sectional that I started to get concerned. According to both of the individuals I spoke with, shipping would take 10 days and I would be contacted with a tracking number for my shipment, that never came. So, I tried to go to their website to get their phone number however the website was down. I ended up finding the phone number online, which was disconnected as well as the phone number provided by the email agent that I spoke with. At this point my spider sense was on high alert and I immediately contacted Paypal to get my money back.

As discouraging as this situation was I feel it is equally important that no one else fall victim to this very intricate scam. I thought since there was live chat and they contacted me via email when I had a question that everything was fine. Just goes to show what lengths someone will go to in order to defraud an innocent person.

Do not fall victim to this scam or any scam like it. Fortunately I was able to file a claim with Paypal to retrieve my funds however I feel I got lucky. Don's make the same mistake I did. Dont be fooled by their great prices and awesome looking sectionals.
